At Three Tail Coffee, we believe coffee is more than just something to keep you going. A good cup should be an experience in itself, and something you can drink purely for the sake of enjoyment. Our belief in better coffee, and the demand for something better is why we got started roasting in the first place.
The Origin of Three Tail Coffee
Our roasting journey started long ago, beneath the watchful eye of our three cats. We began with a repurposed popcorn popper. After learning the ropes, we moved on to an air-roaster, and even dabbled in charcoal roasting. From there, we even designed and built our own roaster from scratch.
After many years of honing our craft, we began to sell our coffee through the local farmer’s market. While our cats no longer hang around the roaster, every bag of Three Tail Coffee carries the same passion and dedication it did when we first started.
A Great Cup, Responsibly
At Three Tail Coffee, we’re incredibly picky about the coffee we drink. To make truly great coffee however, we’ve found that it’s important to step back from the roaster now and then and see what the rest of the community is up to.
We’ve traveled across Arkansas and beyond in search of a good cup, and we’ve found some pretty great coffee over the years. Despite a wealth of choice however, we reach for our own coffee to start our day. When we recommend our coffee, know that we don’t just stand by it, we drink it too.
Delicious coffee isn’t our only concern- we want to be able to enjoy it with a clear conscience for years to come. One way to help ensure a future of great coffee is for everyone involved to receive a living wage, regardless of which country they live in, or what they do. This is why all of the coffee we roast is Fair-trade or Farm-gate certified. This ensures the farmers that grow our coffee can afford to continue doing so in the future.
Nothing but Deliciousness
While the flavor, aroma, and quality of our coffee is vital, safety is no less important. Three Tail Coffee observes strict cleaning, roasting, and packaging guidelines. This ensures every bag of coffee we produce is full of everything you want, and nothing you don’t. We do not add any flavorings, or extra ingredients to our coffee.
We produce our product in a private residence that is exempt from state licensing and inspection. While extreme care is taken to reduce or eliminate them, our products may contain trace amounts of allergens such as nuts. Three Tail Coffee is registered with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture/Health, identification number 104010014, and is in compliance with the 2021 Arkansas Food Freedom Act. We follow all Covid-19 safety precautions to help ensure everyone’s health and safety.
